On 14 November 2011 the EU-funded Support Action EMC2 is holding a one-day industrial workshop on the future of 3D media at the premises of the world-famous Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Berlin. EMC2 is the first pan-European competence centre in Media Computing and Communication. The workshop draws together leading players from industry, research and government to explore trends, developments and future directions for 3D industry and research.

3DLife at FIA 2011

QMUL has organized a 3DLife session entitled “Interactive future media experience” in Future Internet Assembly (FIA) 2011 on the 18th of May 2011 in Budapest, Hungary.
There were three keynote talks in this session, of which two were given by 3DLife delegates. These talks addressed different topics related to the session and have received a lot of attention from the audience. The three keynote talks were the following:

3DLife organized a Special Session within the International Workshop on Image Analysis for Multimedia Interactive Services (WIAMIS) which took place between 13-15 April 2011 in Deft, The Netherlands.
WIAMIS is one of the main international fora for the presentation and discussion of the latest technological advances in interactive multimedia services. The objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry working in the areas of image, video and audio applications, with a special focus on analysis.
3DLife at ServiceWave 2010

3DLife actively participated in ServiceWave 2010 which took place between the 13th and 15th of December 2010 in the city of Ghent, Belgium.
The 3DLife project hosted a demonstration stand in the event. In this stand, a series of demonstrations about latest 3DLife technologies were shown to the audience.
